Have you ever heard about the term barkah before. This is when means of anything defy expectations. At least this is the easiest way I can explain the concept. Allah, can place barakah in anything. He can place it in our food, our health, our paycheck, our homes, our time through out the day, and the list goes on. It is a blessing from Allah to receive barakah.
I have been spending a lot of time reflecting on the barakah I see within my own life. I learned about this term many years ago but I have only recently been keenly aware of barkah. It is amazing how we can have knowledge of something but yet with no application that knowledge doesn’t do much for us.
If you have been following my journey for a while you may know that goals and dreams are something I struggle with. At one point I didn’t even see the point. Alhumdulillah I now know that without dreaming, or goals we have nothing. I have began dreaming again and implementing the steps necessary to reach my goals. This very new concept to me lead to the creation of my Barakah Book for Muslima Entrepreneurs.
Within this book you will find a simple break down to set a goal and reverse engineer it. This breaks it down into bite size tasks that remove all of the overwhelm.
As humans when we are overwhelmed it often stops all progress. Knowing this I created a system to fuse deen and dunya throughout your daily life in a simple way to reach your goals. Inside you will find a space to brain dump what feels so messy inside your head. And then organize it all into easy tasks for the day. There is a space for tasks that do not get completed and need to be rolled over. This simplified approach helps assist in the completion of your goals without feeling overwhelming.
Through out the book there is journal pages with ayah’s from the Quran for reflection. We all can use a bit of reflection, In Surah 38:29 it states: “This is a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.” My hope is that these pages serve as a reflection and a reminder of how this life is so short and a temporary place for us all. We have so little time, so it is necessary that we fuse our concentrations between both deen and dunya. My hope is that this planner can help do that.
Remember to take each day and moment 1 step at a time. The small consistent action you take will have the largest impact and results.
Until next time Asalamu Alaikum (peace be upon you).
